What is OLED light?

OLED lighting technology is the latest in healthy, sustainable lighting solutions. OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. OLED panels are made of layers of organic materials deposited on a thin glass substrate, emitting light when electricity is run through them. OLEDs emit light evenly from the whole surface of the panel, which creates a naturally glare-free experience you don’t find in other technologies. They generate minimal heat, contain no UV light, and pose no blue light risk to your eyes and skin. OLED lighting provides comfortable illumination that’s easy on the eyes – perfect for reading and task work.

OLED lighting is an energy efficient light source that doesn’t need additional components like diffusors, heatsinks, or phosphors, and they don’t contain toxic materials like mercury. This means less materials are used that can end up in landfills and damage the environment. Made of 85% glass, OLED panels are an eco-friendly lighting solution.

With adoption in commercial and residential lighting, automotive applications, aerospace, healthcare, hospitality and more, OLED has begun a revolution in lighting.
